Looks can be deceiving ...

Brooklynites love their brick oven pizza. But as I learned recently, just having a brick oven does not make for a pleasurable dining experience.

With awesome weather here for the weekend, you could do a lot worse than eating a hot dog on the beach at Coney Island.

And if you’re going to be in the Carroll Gardens area, the Gowanus Yacht Club and its patio are now officially open for business.

  1. Word of advise to Smith Street locals – if you’re going to go to the Gowanus Yacht Club make sure you go early and park yourself (and your friends) at one of the tables and don’t move. Take advantage of the wait service or send one person up to the bar at a time to replenish drinks and order your keilbasa. Because once the hipsters roll in…
